Carlsberg Group

Carlsberg Group joined in RE100 in July 2017 and is committed to switching to 100% renewable electricity at its breweries by 2022.

The Denmark-based brewery group is transitioning to renewable energy in a variety of ways and 2016, approximately 45% of its electricity came from renewable sources.

Simon Boas Hoffmeyer, Sustainability Director, Carlsberg Group, said: "At Carlsberg, we are always on the search for partners, as well as technology and scientific solutions that can help us achieve our sustainability ambitions. Joining RE100 brings us into contact with other leading companies and we believe that the opportunity for sharing knowledge, experience and best practice will provide invaluable insights that will help us all to improve.

We also see it as a great communications platform to tell the world about what we stand for as a business today and why we are working to contribute to a sustainable tomorrow."
